Construction Technology

The Construction Technology program offers students a wide introduction to all areas of the construction trades. Students will begin learning safety procedures, blueprint comprehension, tool use and carpentry knowledge. Upcoming projects include framing walls in the classroom that are then delivered to a construction site for Habitat for Humanity.

Second year students continue refining their skills in a holistic approach to construction that includes carpentry, plumbing, electrical and energy efficiency.

Students have many future options in the industry including working in sustainable construction—projected to become more popular as environmental concerns continue to mount.
